I never knew what little hams these girls were, i got out the camera and they immediately asked me to get this picture of them doing this pose...i love kids like this. being kids..in kids attire, with kool-aid mustaches and all! i love it.

i haven't really put the camera down these last couple of day, trying to catch every moment, and encouraging some of my own. like this one of Brennan and Leighton.

milwaukee, friends, and photoshoots

i got the amazing chance to go to milwakee to meet up with an old friend, and amazing photographer. it was the one of the greatest gifts i have ever recieved! we got to stay in an amazing hotel, meet her beautiful family, hang out in her way to cool studio, see the breath taking views of milwaukee, go on a newborn shoot, (the baby was only 3 days old), watch her in action, and do our very own photoshoot with 2 very cute kids. i was sad to go, but so excited to start putting my new techniques into practice. I thought i would share a few of my favorite pictures, and i did all of these with out ever using a flash!!!!

i love these next few pictures of Leighton, normally i will touch up a photo a little bit, but loved these just the way they were. they are simply beautiful.

i had a great day with Bennett, i got the privilege of watching him for a few hours, he was so cute. So of course i got out the camera. i love to capture the softer side with black and white.







I love to get those tiny little details of fingers and toes.






i love to have fun with color, and to capture those perfect little expressions. the expressions a new mother hopes to see, and to hold on to forever. the expressions that begin to show the personality of this new little man.








i love on-sight pictures, in a home, in a yard, your favorite spot, but mostly just you, is all we need to get great shots. eventually i hope to have a studio, but it will never be all that i am. i want to capture the life of people. The way God created them to be.
